The most versatile and comfortable "everything" pant
The Asana Slim Pant represents the most anticipated addition to our Asana collection, celebrated for its comfort, sleekness, and versatility. These pants seamlessly transition from lounging on the sofa to exploring the city, travelling, and even office wear.
Our design team and pattern makers worked meticulously on this design, going through numerous rounds of prototypes and samples to create what we believe to be one of the most versatile and comfortable slim ankle pants available.
Ultra stretchy double-knit fabric
We used a 240gsm interlock weft knit blend for the Asana Slim Pant, a fabric weight and construction beloved in our other Asana products. This fabric undergoes a peached or brushed finish on both sides, enhancing its softness and comfort. The interlock weft knit ensures excellent stretch and recovery in both the crosswise (weft) and lengthwise (warp) directions, providing exceptional flexibility and freedom of movement.
Additionally, the fabric's main component is recycled polyester yarn, sourced from post-consumer waste such as bottles and packaging. This more sustainable approach transforms waste materials into high-performance yarn, which is then knitted into the final fabric. This combination of advanced knitting techniques and recycled materials results in a pant that is not only incredibly comfortable and versatile but also helps reduce landfill waste.
BUTTERY AND PEACH SOFT SURFACE
Time after time, our customers tell us how much they love the soft brushed fabrics that we use in our pants and the Asana Slim Pant is no different. The peached finish on this pant is achieved through a meticulous fabric finishing process known as peaching. This technique involves using extra-fine brushes and water to carefully rub against the surface of the fabric, raising its fibers to produce fine hairs from the knitted yarns.
This process not only enhances the softness of the fabric but also increases its comfort. The result is a luxurious, velvety texture that feels incredibly gentle against the skin, making the Asana Slim Pant perfect for all-day wear.
Comfortable and forgiving waistband
A comfortable, non-digging, and aesthetically minimal waistband was a priority for these pants. We prototyped several styles, including elastic-cased, stable front with elastic back, and case attached to elastic.
After several rounds of sampling, we found that a centerfold no-seam folded waistband provided the most comfort and practicality. This design utilizes the natural stretch of the self-fabric, eliminating the need for additional elastic or seams that can cause discomfort.
The centerfold construction ensures a smooth, even distribution of pressure around the waist, enhancing comfort without compromising on style. Additionally, we chose a shorter 5cm height for the waistband, giving it a lower profile that makes the pant versatile enough for casual and office settings, while maintaining a sleek, non-workout appearance.
Concealed storage
As with Ninepine tradition, practical storage was a must for the Asana Slim Pant. We included two discreet pockets with invisible zips to ensure both security and a sleek appearance.
We use YKK zips, renowned for their exceptional Japanese quality and reliability, ensuring that these concealed pockets are durable and functional. This thoughtful integration of high-quality zippers ensures that your essentials are safely stored without compromising the pant's streamlined look.
Multiple lengths for various heights
In true Ninepine tradition, we strive to be inclusive by offering multiple inseams to cater to different heights and style preferences.
The Asana Slim Pant is available in four inseams: 26", 28", 30", and 32". While these pants are primarily designed to be worn at ankle length, you can choose a shorter inseam for a cropped look or a longer inseam for a morefull-length fit. This variety ensures that everyone can find their perfect fit.
